2007 Bourgogne Vieilles Vignes: (from 45+ year old vines located in Chorey-lès-Beaune). This is notably ripe without going over the top with a seductive nose of red and blue pinot fruit, violet and earth notes that introduce rich, fresh and energetic flavors that are supported by buried tannins and fine length. This is a terrific wine that is complex, elegant and quite serious, indeed unusually so for a Bourgogne. Highly recommended. 87/2011+
